At Nybble, we value the uniqueness of each talent, because we know that our diversity is what makes us stronger. With Spotlight Series , we seek to highlight our Nybblers, showing how their backgrounds, experiences, and skills—even the most unexpected—are key to making our company a team passionate about creating solutions that transform realities.

This month, the spotlight was on Carolina Norzagaray, Carito , a unique individual whom we are fortunate to have on our UX/UI Design team. Her passion for design, her innate curiosity, and her commitment to learning by doing led her to explore and experiment in different facets of the industry. We invite you to learn about her journey!

After completing her university degree in Graphic Design, Carito returned to her hometown, Salta. That's when she received a seemingly absurd offer in 2008: a remote job for an American company . "I had to work from a friend's house. I lived with my family in the countryside, and the signal was very weak!" she recalls with a laugh.

Through that role, she became familiar with the early stages of social media , especially Facebook. Her curiosity had already drawn her to the web world , and since she knew HTML, she even coded email marketing campaigns herself! "I was always involved in the world of technology, even before smartphones existed," she says.

Fast forward to 2017. Back then, Carito had her first exposure to UX/UI design when, at her job—for a systems company—she was asked to make an interface look pretty . "I followed blogs by people who worked at large companies, where User Experience Design was already being discussed. But it was a very niche thing; those roles didn't yet exist in my city," she says.

Extremely interested in the subject, Carito couldn't stay still. After meeting different figures in this new discipline at an event for designers, she decided to organize one in her city! Together with colleagues, they created a gathering they called Safari: Creative Journey , which included members of the Interaction Design Foundation. Although it sounds—and is—likely a huge undertaking, it was just one of her first steps into this exciting field of design.

" I've always been very self-taught. I learn by doing , that's one of the great mottos that accompanies me in life. I put my hands in the dough and ask myself 'What is this? If I touch this other thing, what do I break?' When Adobe XD came out, I downloaded it to explore and learn," she says proudly.

In 2020, she brought all her passion and desire to learn to Nybble . Then she met Nat Daffunchio, our UX Lead, whom she describes as a great mentor . " I learned by doing, with Nat ."

Her extensive prior experience, plus the experience she's gained over these four and a half years with us, informs what she calls Vision 360 : " designing with the user and the business in mind , with the pure desire to understand how things work and why ." This curiosity to know how all the parts relate to each other and what's happening is what drives her to design better experiences every day.

Carito shows us that curiosity , desire , and initiative to learn are unbeatable drivers for growth and creation, continuing to explore and reinvent herself. We celebrate her passionate mindset for innovation, which always drives her to see what lies beyond, embodying the Nybble spirit.

A huge thank you to her for sharing her experience. We're incredibly proud to have such talented, energetic, and committed professionals on our team. Every detail makes a huge impact when creating human-centered digital solutions.

We hope her story inspires those drawn to a particular discipline to explore, learn, and do more.
